Somalia: Pupils awarded
with bombs and riffles

In the coastal town of Kismayo a stronghold
for the Islamist faction of Al-Shabab martyrs, 500km south
of the Somali capital Mogadishu pupils who have won reading
the Holy Quran with best accent and answered perfectly answered
Geographical questions were on Saturday honored with bombs
and other related military equipments such as AK47 assault
riffles.
The competition which was organized by the
Al-Shabab martyrs, and the 17 years old boy who has won the
competition was awarded with an AK47 assault riffle, 2 hand
grenades, anti tank mine and a computer, while the boy who
has became second was rewarded with an AK47 assault riffle
and magazines with bullets.
The award ceremony has taken place at a military
garrison, in Kismayo and the parents of the two boys and other
audiences were present at the ceremony venue.
The officials of Al-Shabab said that this
is the first award of armament they have ever given out, to
pupils who have accomplished with religious quiz.
