The fighting was between the Hizbul and Somali government soldiers bolstered by the African Mission in Somalia (AMISOM)). The each said has accused the other of been behind the attack, and the responsibility of the killing of the innocent Somali people at a time when they were preparing to break their fasting. The defense secretary of Hizbul Islam Sheikh Muse Abdi Arale has held a press conference for the media and this is what he had to say.

“The soldiers of the Somali government and their ally the African Union troops have taken a wide range attack starting from Sinai to KM4 junction, and have killed people who were preparing to have their evening meal after having been fasting for the whole of the day for God’s sake, and I call this as been part of the recent emergency law which the Somali legislators have unanimously approved, this emergency law is nothing other than the government to kill the people anyhow, and to take the property of the people as it wishes, so we shall be turning our eyes from this we shall take action against this inhuman style” said the defense secretary of Hizbul Islam Sheikh Muse Abdi Arrale.

On the other hand Sheikh Abdirizak Qeylow the spokesman of the Somali Administration Police, has proved wrong the statements released by the defense secretary of Hizbul Islam.

“The so called Hizbul Islam which doesn’t actually deserve to be called that good name, but instead deserves to be called Hizbul devils simultaneously attacked government soldiers and the AU peacekeepers, and that fellow who was addressing the media saying that he is the defense secretary of this group has not talked of the reality, let him fear his God doesn’t he know that there are two angles on our shoulder and each of them writing, whatever we say whether it is good deeds or bad deeds, the people are very understanding it is them who announced that in this sacred month of Ramadan they will be carrying out attacks” said Sheikh Abdirizak Qeylow.
