There is great contest on livestock trading for the hajj, some couple months ago the Islamic Development Bank has allocated the amount of the animate livestock needed this year for the occasion of Hajj.

The Islamic Development Bank has tossed for who will be the contractor of this year in providing livestock for the Hajj and Abu-Yaseer International Est has became the winner of this year, and Abu-Yaseer has signed a Somali company called East African General Treading Company as its sub-contractor.

The agreement between the two companies was signed by Honorable Abukar Abdi Osman the Veterinary Minister for the Somali Federal Government and Honorable Abdirashid Iro the Commerce Minister for the Somali Federal Government after they have revived go ahead from the Somali Prime Minister Honorable Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke.

The East African Trading Company has righteousness divided equally the animals among the Somali traders in the north, central and south of the country.

Very unfortunately reliable reports say that the first Prime Minister Sharmaarke and his Ministers have written another latter with different concept than that previously signed agreement, and stated in their latter that only Somaliland and Puntland can offer this year’s Hajj livestock while south and central Somali are ignored while the majority of the animals exported from Somali are brought from south and central Somalia.

This political corruption in the Somali Federal Government is believed to be based on specific interests by specific individuals who gained a lot wealth from Al-Jabir Company, and have earlier taken huge sum of money from Abu-Yaseer International, and soon if all goes well we shall present to you clear evidences of the bribe given by the government Minister by Abu-Yaseer company.

Is this not a national scandal? Are they Ministers or Traders?

Shariff Hassan Sheikh Adan the Minister for Finance accompanied by Abdirizak Issack Idow a Somali Business tycoon were today cordially received at Hotel Crown Palace in Jeddah the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) by Hajji Mohamud Jama.

The Minister and the business tycoon are guests of honors for Al-Sayed Suleymayn the director of Al-Khalij Trading Company.

The Minister who is not in an official visit in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seriously engaged on how to get this year Hajj livestock contracts, in order to boost the income for the Somali government.

Some reliable sources also said that the Minister has threatened to stop the animals which are exported from the seaports of Bosaso and Berbara because he said that these two regions have no adequate animals to be exported to overseas and all the animals are brought from Bay and Bakool regions in southern Somalia.

This will violate the agreement between Puntland state and Al-Jaabir Company. Does the Minister for Finance no that his own clan has no animals? Is he a Minister or a killer?

The Somali business people are the source of the countries economy and the development of the people and the nation, therefore they deserve to be supported instead of Ministers involving and spoiling their issues.

The government is supposed to motivate the Somali business people and to strictly observe the rights of the traders, and obtain direct or indirect revenue from the traders.

The Somali traders are at large compiling of the bad behaviours of the Ministers of Veterinary, Commerce and Finance. We have clear evidences of all what we have stated and will showing in the soonest possible.

The authority of Puntland should give extra considerations to this matter, and observe the interest of the traders which are the backbone of every nation.
