Somalia: Top UN delegation
arrived in Mogadishu

Top Humanitarian agencies heads from the
Kenyan capital Nairobi have on Wednesday arrived in the Somali
capital Mogadishu, tightly escorted from Adan Ade international
airport by the African Union peacemakers in Somalia.
This team of Humanitarian heads consisted
of the different sectors of the United Nations, such as UNOCHA,
UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP and WHO and was spearheaded by Mark Boden
of RC/HC for Somalia.
These Humanitarian personnel reached at the
Somali presidential villa where they met the Somali president
his Excellency Sheikh Shariff Sheikh Ahmed and honorable Prime
Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke.
These Humanitarian heads of agencies and the
most top two Somali government officials discussed on the
current Humanitarian Affairs in the country.
From the Somali Presidential palace the Humanitarian
heads agencies meet with 6 Somali government Ministers including
the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and resettlement, Honorable
Mohamoud Abdi Ibrahim (Garweyne).
Honorable Garweyne has opened the meeting
with the UN heads and the Somali government Ministers with
salutations, and received them jovially, and after that he
has discussed with the UN agencies heads the update humanitarian
situation in Somalia.
This UN delegation will be returning back
to the Kenyan capital Nairobi which they have departure from
in the injury hours of Wednesday afternoon.
It was some couple of weeks ago when another
UN delegation has arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu,
and did assessment on the camps of the internal displaced
peoples in Wadjir districts in Banadir region and as well
to Median and Banadir Hospitals in Mogadishu.
