Somalia: Government is due to mediate Galmudug officials

The Somali Transtional Federal Goveremnet has commenced mediations talks between members from Galmudug state in central Somalia.

The major rift is between the presidents of the two joined regions of Galmudug Ahmed Shariff Ali Hilowle and Colonel Ahmed Mohammed Alin, the two are currently in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

The key player of the mediation between the two higest officials is the Somali police Commissioner General Abdi Hassan Awale Qeybdid, who has recently returned from Glamudug region its self and some other towns in Puntland.

The mediation between the two Presidents would officially start the coming week, though there were several other mediations which have all ended up in vain.

This will be the first scuffle between the highest officials of Galmudug state since it was established some 2 years ago.

Each of the two men believes that he is the legitimate President of Galmudug state.
