A remote control landmine explosion which
has claimed the lives of 6 officials has on Sunday occurred
at Lasanod town in Sool region.
The landmine was targeted at a Toyota station
wagon which officials from Sool region were driving in.
I was some meters away from where the

of the vicinity where the explosion occurred was engulfed
with a huge cloud of black smoke, and instantly after it has
subsided I went to witness what has actually taken place in
that very spot, and I have seen 6 dead soldiers and the car
they were driving in has turned black, it was really beyond
recognition there were some wounded ones also but they were
evacuated from the spot before I reached said Abdi Adan

say that there are 3 pedestrians who were also wounded in
that blast.
Among the dead soldiers was Cornel Afdilo the force commander
of Sool region.
