Somalia: MPs decry
terrorist infiltration in Somalia
Mogadishu Saturday 19 Sep 2009 Shaaficiyah Media
The infiltration of international terrorists
into the war between the Somali transitional government and
militant groups may increase piracy and arms trafficking in
the war torn country.
The Somali government continues to face increasing
attacks from the Al Shabab militants who have also got support
from the Al Qaeda, with the recent attack on African Union
peacekeepers, including four Ugandan soldiers killed.
The chairperson of Parliamentary Defense committee
(in Uganda), Matthias Kasamba says that the infiltration of
the Al Qaeda terrorists is going to increase instability in
Somalia unless the African Union calls for more troops from
other countries on the continent.
Kasamba however says Uganda will not pull
out its troops from Somalia.
He says doing it will plunge the war torn
Somalia into deeper crisis from which it might not recover.
