Instantly after the evening
prayers time on Wednesday evening the magistrate of Bosasso
high court Mohamed Abdi Awarre, was gunned down right at his
office in Bosasso town, which is located just beside the Mosque
where he had performed his prayers, by men who have disguised
their faces.
The murderers of the veteran
Magistrate who were armed with AK47 Assault rifles have evaded
the scene uncaught.
Mr. Awarre has been the most
senior magistrate of Bossao high court since the last effective
central government of Somalia led by late Mohammed siyad Barre,
and he used to rule different crimes almost everyday.
In another incident 2 hours after
the killing of the magistrate Ibrahim Elmi a lawmaker in the
in the house of the autonomous eastern region of Somalia was
as well sprayed with hails of bullets while having a cup of
Cappuccino in a certain cafeteria in the town of Growe the
capital of Puntland, the perpetrators escaped the spot where
they have killed the legislator.
Three men who have disguised
their faces in order not be identified came up-to us and on
seeing I was frightened and could not say a word, and when
they came closer they sprayed bullets with the MP who was
sited into a chair which was not far from where I was sited,
and within a fraction of a second they have escaped
said Hassan Farah an eyewitness speaking to shaaficiyah Media
.
The killed legislator has been
a member of Puntland parliament since it was formed in 1998,
and he originally comes from Mudug region. Puntland has been
a cool region since the regime of Mohamed Siyad Barre was
toppled from power in 1991, but recently it has changed into
inferno, because killings of significant people and frequent
explosions have become part of life of the people in Puntland
