Somalia: 2 of the
UN compound raiders in Wajid district caught

As to the reports Somaliweyn radio is receiving
from Wajid district where World Food Programme complex was
attacked a night ago says that two of the gangs who have raided
at the premises are caught.
The town elders and the Al-Shabab movement
who are in control of the town had come together for immediate
meeting after the raid in the night, and set a committee to
follow up who the raiders were, and the committee have caught
two of the raiders.
Both the town elders and the officials of
Al-Shabab have strongly condemned the attack carried on the
UN compound.
The report also adds that the two who were
wounded during the night of the clash are now under tight
security and receiving medical treatment in Wajid district.
The expatriates who were in Wajid district
have gone to Nairobi the capital of Kenya for security grounds.
On the other hand the United Nations have
condemned the raid on their compound in Wajid and said that
this will be the 4th attack on UN compound in Somalia within
a period of 2 months.
